Thank you to everyone who came to the show at Bushwacker’s last night. It was a lot of fun to be on stage again after a brief hiatus, and it was great to see so many friends in the audience. You rock!
Thanks, also, to our friends in Blue Foot Fool who invited us to play. They’re great guys, and they’re very supportive of local music. We’re lucky to have them in the Denver music community.
Finally, we got some excellent news last night about an upcoming show. We’ll post more details soon!
We’re playing at Bushwacker’s Saloon with Blue Foot Fool on Friday, Feb. 11. (We’re filling in for another band, so, while we’re not on the calendar as of this writing, we are playing.)
How are there no remixes of this? Sure, there’s the death metal thing, but that’s not the same. This deserves the “Shane Lee Remix” treatment.
Also: “I can see, as your king, as ya arms BLEED. Horror-struck, huh? Army truck!”
Next up from Earmark Saints: The Preacher Baby Remix Album.
Well, maybe not.
thank you, god, for the subtitles. otherwise i’d be scared out of my mind.
We’re playing the Larimer Lounge on Friday, August 6. We go on at midnight, so go out and have a wild night with your friends, coworkers, or family, but plan to cap off the night with some rock and roll with your Saints.
Print out this coupon for half off the door price. In fact, print out a bunch of them and stuff them in any clothes you think you might wear out on Friday. Then, no matter what you decide to wear, you’ll only have to pay $4 for the rocking and the rolling. Or, save a tree but pay twice as much. Totally up to you, ecowarrior.
Live at D Note for the Birambye International fundraiser. Doesn’t include the last few songs, as the iPhone battery died. A few fits and starts (if the second video hangs on you near the beginning, just drag the slider a few seconds forward and the rest should be fine), but considering this was streamed live from the show, we’re not complaining. The future is an amazing place to live. Next show: flying cars and square meals in pill form.
Setlist:
Perfect Day (Lou Reed)
Ghosts of Reminiscence
Superexistence
Appalachia
Attack
Americana
I’ll Be Damned
Get Back
Red Planet
Miracle Pill
Foggy Mountain Top (traditional)
Connection (Elastica)*
Singing in the Acid Rain*
Vaccine Contented Entertainment*
No Other Girl*

This is remarkable. AND he’s playing with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra tonight. AND Jonathan Coulton’s playing at Soiled Dove. AND there are probably a dozen other interesting things going on tonight.
But if you happen not to be attending any of them, do drop by the Meadowlark and spend some time with the Saints. We’ll give you hugs. I’m not sure if Chris Thile or Jonathon Coulton will give you hugs, but you might not want to risk the disappointment …
I am going to watch Chris Thile play the bejesus out of his mandolin tonight with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
I never thought there’d be a time in my life where I’d be excited to see a man play a mandolin with an orchestra. But I’m actually smiling as I type this. Oh, the orchestra’s also going to play Rhapsody in Blue.
Can’t wait. Can’t wait. Can’t wait.
